Strengths the inspectors named:
- Outstanding in 2023–24 — a fifth consecutive top rating, held at every inspection since 2017–18.
- Self-evaluation judged Outstanding: systematic, thorough and honest about its own strengths and gaps, with well-targeted action plans.
- Governance Outstanding — wide representation, real educational expertise, and the detailed knowledge to challenge leaders, not just support them.
- Parent partnership and day-to-day management both Outstanding, with innovative use of facilities to widen what students can access.
- Independently rated Outstanding by British Schools Overseas, whose 2021 report called it ‘an outstanding school… for pupils from three to 18’.
What they asked the school to improve:
- Even here the report sets homework: strengthen sentence construction and correct Arabic grammar, and lift the literacy of the few lower-attaining students.

Inclusion (students of determination): Outstanding — just over 100 students, around 9% of the roll, identified with special educational needs. Inspectors record that ‘governors and leaders promote inclusivity and ensure that provision for students of determination is of the highest quality across the school’. Students have access to the ASDAN qualification network, a life-skills route running alongside mainstream academic support, and a dedicated special educational needs coordinator also runs the gifted and talented programme.
